Hardman & Whittles Solicitors announce that after 29 years’ service, David Whittles will retire from practice on 31st March 2022.

 

After serving the local community since 1879, Hardman & Whittles are placing our trust in our neighbours, Waldron & Schofield of 25 York Street, Heywood, OL10 4NN to take over the business on Friday 1st April 2022. They will continue to provide the excellent level of service our clients have come to know us for. All existing Wills and Title Deeds will transfer to their office.

David Whittles qualified as a Solicitor in 1993.  He undertakes Residential and Commercial Conveyancing together with the preparation of Wills and Probate Work.

Help selling a home


We will:


Check through the Deeds and prepare the Contract for Sale.


(With your assistance) deal with any Enquiries raised by the Buyer's Solicitors.

When everything is in order, exchange Contracts and fix a Completion Date to suit you.


On completion, transfer the Deeds to the Buyer's Solicitors and repay any existing Mortgages, using the proceeds of sale, and account to you for the balance.

Help Buying a Home



We will :


Check the Contract for Sale and ensure you buy what you think you are buying.


Make Enquiries to the Seller's Solicitors and scrutinise their Replies.


Carry out all necesssary Searches.


Check your Mortgage offer and ensure the money will be available when needed.


Provide you with a detailed written Report on the property before you commit yourself.


Exchange Contracts and fix a Completion Date to suit you.


Prepare the Transfer Deed and Mortgage Deed.


On completion, transfer the funds to the Seller's Solicitors and arrange for payment of any Stamp Duty Land Tax and register the transaction at H.M. Land Registry.
